Community Partners
The Catalyst Schools collaborate with a wide variety of community partners to provide resources and opportunities to our students. From the arts-based groups who participate in the Renaissance Enrichment Program to the neighbors who share their facilities, our partners are vital and appreciated members of the Catalyst family.
Chicago Children’s Choir
Chicago Children’s Choir, a participant in the Renaissance Enrichment Program, works with students to explore the expressive qualities of music.
Circle Urban Ministries
Catalyst works in close partnership with Circle Urban Ministries, a social service organization that has served the Austin community for over 30 years. Circle Rock Charter and Circle Urban Ministries share a building and regularly collaborate to offer a variety of resources to neighborhood families. While Catalyst provides neighborhood students with quality public education, Circle Urban Ministries offers wrap-around services that include after-school and mentoring programs.
Connect to the Future “Adopt a Class” Program
The Connect to the Future “Adopt a Class” Program teams up with Catalyst to connect those who have achieved success as entrepreneurs/professionals with sixth graders. The Connect mentors work one-on-one with students to provide encouragement and advice.
Dominican University
Students from Dominican University come to the Catalyst Schools to engage in service opportunities including tutoring and programmatic support. All volunteering is guided by stated learning objectives.
Muntu Dance Theatre, Inc.
The Drums for Peace program, which is one of the offerings through Catalyst’s Renaissance Enrichment Program, provides students with an artistic means of finding accomplishment and self-esteem.
Prevention Force Family Center
The Prevention Force Family Center brings its Life Skills Luncheon Series to Circle Rock Charter, allowing seventh- and eighth-grade students to attend workshops on violence, stress management, problem solving, and self-esteem.
Ravinia Music Program
Ravinia joins forces with Catalyst as part of the Renaissance Enrichment Program to give students a productive musical outlet. Students compose original songs, make and play instruments, and learn to use their feelings, hopes, and dreams as artistic inspiration.
Westside Health Authority
Westside Health Authority runs the Lady Mentoring Program, an after-school program for students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. Topics covered in this program include conflict management, mentoring, and leadership development.
