Catalyst-Maria is seeking a Founding K-12 Librarian. The librarian will be responsible for managing all library resources. This person must have a thorough understanding of Accelerated Reader Program in order to ensure all students are reading at or above their grade level. The librarian will work in conjunction with the classroom teachers to make sure students are achieving an 85% or higher on all AR quizzes, which will be taken in the classrooms, as well as the library. The librarian will be responsible for collaborating with the classroom teachers on the development and management of all classroom libraries. The librarian will be a resource to the Director of Instruction and Reading Specialist. This person will be a vital member of the literacy community at Catalyst-Maria, promoting a strong interest and love for reading throughout the student body.

Under the supervision of the Principal, through the Director of Instruction, the Reading Specialist assists with all matters related to the effective implementation of classroom reading instruction, primarily in K -3 This includes AR, ANet, TAP, STEP, NWEA, and all other components related to reading and literacy within the Catalyst Schools’ Education Program.
